Description
Land continues into the sea and under its surface as rocky seabeds. These stretch out from the surface to the deepest parts of the sea, forming very diverse landscapes. The shallower areas, that are very clear and subject to currents, shelter many juvenile animals. Deeper down, rocks are covered in quite dense algae which provide shelter for many species.
Did you know?
Shallow rocky areas, where many juvenile fish live, are under heavy pressure due to urbanisation.
