Description

Soft seabeds are formed with mobile sediments, sand and pebbles. They are characterised by a flat surface, subjected to currents and swells, without any obvious places to hide. The organisms that live here have adopted two different strategies to protect themselves: some bury themselves in the sand, others develop mimicking or camouflage mechanisms.
